In the role of Associate Vice President (AVP) of Recruitment you will be responsible for leading recruitment efforts across all levels-Executive, Faculty, Advanced Practice Providers, and Staff-to support the talent needs of the Medical College of Wisconsin and its affiliated partners. This role is critical in achieving workforce acquisition goals and advancing MCW's mission through a focus on hiring excellence. The AVP of Recruitment will provide strategic, hands-on, and innovative leadership to drive the attraction, engagement, and acquisition of top talent across diverse, high-demand roles. A key priority of this role is fostering diversity in hiring outcomes, ensuring an inclusive approach to talent acquisition across a wide range of specialized areas.
Primary Functions
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for executive, faculty, provider, and staff roles to support organizational goals and attract top talent.
- Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, feedback collection, and onboarding, ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience.
- Establish, monitor, and report recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Collaborate with practice leaders and stakeholders on opportunities with strategic partners.
- Allocate resources to meet recruitment needs aligned with workforce plans.
- Identify and source targeted providers based on workforce plans.
- Prioritize recruitment efforts to support departmental goals and achieve hiring targets.
- Define annual recruitment priorities and focus areas.
- Partner with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion to enhance diverse talent pipelines.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local and regional partners.
- Address and resolve recruitment-related concerns and complaints.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external recruitment firms.
- Lead or delegate tasks, including:
- Preparing job descriptions and postings.
- Developing and executing hiring campaigns.
- Researching and attending job fairs and conferences.
- Building relationships with residency and training programs.
- Creating recruitment materials and maintaining candidate tracking.
- Coordinating candidate visits, including spouse programs and site itineraries.
- Supporting reference checks and interview feedback follow-up.
- Foster an inspiring, communicative team environment with clear goals and daily oversight.
- Track team performance, report on metrics, provide training, offer coaching, and recognize achievements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Schedule:
Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree and Healthcare recruitment experience
Field: Recruiting, Human Resources, Public Relations, Marketing, Sales or related field
