Criterion Systems LLC is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer (Linux), Expert to perform systems engineering and software development across enterprise server environments. This role involves providing technical guidance, developing system baselines, and supporting Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities.

Systems Engineer (Linux), Expert Responsibilities Include:

• Perform systems engineering and software development in Linux environments, including Red Hat, CentOS, and Rocky OS.
• Provide technical expertise in software engineering techniques and automated tools.
• Analyze functional business applications and design specifications to support enterprise activities.
• Develop program-level and user-level documentation and establish procedural standards.
• Support system baselines and provide recommendations for server load tuning.
• Conduct O&M tasks, including software updates, upgrades, and patches.
• Provide operational support via pager/phone and assist with daily O&M activities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Systems Engineer (Linux), Expert Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• Minimum of 11 years in systems engineering and Linux environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Linux, including Red Hat and its derivatives (CentOS, RHEL, RockyOS).
• Experience with Linux administration, engineering, and infrastructure support.
• Skilled in shell (BASH) scripting and Linux command-line manipulation.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in a customer or government facility.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Bash, PHP.
• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Knowledge of cloud computing models (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS) and container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience with LAMP stack environments.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
