New Avenues for Youth seeks a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Coordinator for Survivors of Sex Trafficking to join our New Day team.

As an Outreach Coordinator at New Day, you'll be supporting staff serving as a consistent and intentional guide for youth navigating difficult paths. Your skills and experience will provide the assistance needed for these direct service staff to maximize their time engaging with the young people that we serve.

Who You Are:



  • A Subject Matter Specialist: You bring either lived experience or expert learned experience about the commercial sex trades and/ or sex trafficking to this role.

  • Flexible: You embrace continuous learning and days that come with a change of pace. You are ready to meet youth where they are at an navigate a range of youth needs
  • Equity: You understand how systemic oppression impacts the lives of youth in programs and the systems that influence these struggles. You approach this world with humility and a deep sense of growth and learning.


What You'll Do:



  • Provide Mobile Crisis Support: Support youth survivors of sex trafficking navigate crisis, safety plan, and , meet basic needs both at the office and in community.
  • Engage in Outreach: Cultivate strong relationships with community while offering low barrier on site outreach hours at New Avenues and partner agencies
  • Process Referrals: Respond to New Day Referrals in a timely manner, support in moving youth into mentorship
  • Data Compliance: Maintain required documentation


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of two years of experience working with high risk youth or providing outreach services OR a Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology or related human services field experience required. Individuals with lived experience and folks in the BIPOC community are specifically encouraged to apply!
  • Proficient or above in using excel or similar programs to track data
  • Prior experience engaging youth who face multiple barriers, preferably around contexts associated with exploitation


  • Proficiency in basic communication and technical skills, including composing professional emails, operating a phone system, and using standard computer applications
