We are seeking an Information System Security Engineer to join our team to help contribute to our success and help us solve problems with innovation through intelligence. Position Overview An Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) is responsible for conducting information systems security engineering activities throughout the lifecycle. ISSEs are responsible for capturing and refining information protection requirements to ensure their integration into information systems acquisitions and information system development through purposeful security design or configuration. The Contractor integrates security functional requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and documents using systems engineering principles and methodologies. Contractor personnel shall be knowledgeable of best practices when implementing security controls including software engineering methodologies, security engineering methodologies, security engineering principles, and secure coding techniques and coordinates activities with assessment and authorization stakeholders. ISSE tasks include but are not limited to the following: a. The Contractor shall provide system related input on cybersecurity requirements to be included in SOWs and other appropriate acquisition documents; b. The Contractor shall provide support for IA systems concepts, requirements, design, development, implementation, and/or integration from end-to-end, of a system or system component as required; c. The Contractor shall develop and implement security designs for new or existing network systems to ensure the design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications adequately address cybersecurity requirements for NRO information systems; d. The Contractor shall design, develop, and implement network security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation; e. The Contractor shall identify, assess, and recommend cyber or cyber-enabled products used within NRO information systems to ensure products are in compliance with NRO evaluation and validation requirements; f. The Contractor shall provide engineering support to security/certification test and evaluation activities; g. The Contractor shall ensure the implementation of NRO IA policies into system architectures; h. The Contractor shall provide support to efforts related to the system development lifecycle to include documentation and configuration management; i. The Contractor shall provide technical support to cybersecurity incident responses; j. The Contractor shall create, update, and present IA related briefings and other related materials to both internal and external stakeholders as a security SME; and, participate in and support various IA IC forums and industry-based working groups.
