We partner with infrastructure, utilities, and public sector clients to bring ambitious projects to life, and we're expanding our Business Development team to fuel even greater success.
We're looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who is a natural connector, communicator, and innovator. This role is tactical and execution-focused, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with clients, manage key relationships, and convert opportunities into meaningful wins. What You'll Do as a BDR:
- Build Relationships: Engage with clients as the face of ORC to foster long-term partnerships and secure contracts.
- Drive Results: Promote sales, identify new opportunities, and manage the pipeline of potential projects in the ROW industry.
- Own the CRM: Leverage technology to track, analyze, and report on client activity, ensuring data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with marketing and proposal teams to create winning strategies that lead to big project wins.
- Be the Connector: Represent ORC at industry events and conferences, expanding our presence and reputation in the market.
- Travel with Purpose: You'll spend at least 50% of your time traveling, building relationships, and representing ORC at key events. Proximity to a major airport is a must!
What Success Looks Like:
- You're closing deals, building trust, and expanding ORC's footprint in the ROW industry.
- You're a go-to resource for clients, embodying professionalism and excellence in every interaction.
- You're contributing to ORC's growth by converting opportunities into revenue-generating projects.
What You Bring: Experience That Matters (minimum requirements):
- 5+ years in the ROW, civil engineering, energy, or construction industries.
- 2+ years in sales or business development, with a proven track record of securing contracts and building long-term client relationships.
- B2B Sales Mastery: Skilled in executing market plans, pricing strategies, and staging proposals.
- CRM expertise with the ability to analyze data and report on sales metrics.
- Experience collaborating in the proposal process to deliver winning results.
Powerful Skills:
- Ability to contribute ideas to tactical plans that convert large revenue projects into wins.
- Proficiency with sales and business tools like Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and data analysis platforms.
- A Passion for Clients: You're a natural people person who thrives on solving problems and creating value for others.
- Ready to Travel: You're flexible, adaptable, and excited to spend time on the road meeting clients and building relationships.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Requirements:
- English language proficient.
- Ability to communicate and exchange information clearly in person, via phone, and email.
- Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing.
- Ability to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen.
- Occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment, and interact with other staff members.
- Occasionally required to travel to government buildings, involving time driving, sometimes for long durations.
