Description: Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a BI Developer (OBIEE to PowerBI) to work on a contract position in Westlake, TX. The pay rate is in the $65 to $68/hour. The hybrid position requires onsite work two weeks a month, and candidates must be local to the Dallas, Fort Worth area metro area. Responsibilities:
- Crafting, building, and supporting mission-critical data solutions for applications to deliver the best customer experience using Power BI, OBIEE, Snowflake, Informatica, PL/SQL, and Oracle.
- Migrate reports solutions from OBIEE to Power BI and build new reports as needed.
- Develop and automate workflows using shell scripting and Control M.
- Explore new technology trends and use them to simplify and modernize a data ecosystem.
- Drive innovation and influence the team to implement solutions using future thinking.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver technology solutions for the business needs.
- Guide teams to improve development agility and productivity
- Resolve technical roadblocks to the team and mitigate potential risks.
- Deliver system automation by setting up continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.
- Act as a technical mentor to the team, bring them up to speed on the latest data technologies and promoting continuous learning.
Experience Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in data solution development within a warehouse environment.
- Expertise in OBIEE and Power BI, with hands-on experience migrating from OBIEE to Power BI.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL development and data analysis.
- Experience in shell scripting and Control M (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Relational Databases (Oracle, Exadata preferred)
- ETL Experience (Informatica, Snaplogic, or equivalent tool)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) and DevOps practices.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
