Gates is currently transforming its supply chain approach to be more systems and data driven. This includes investment in systems capability, standardization of metrics around inventory levels, service, etc., derisking the end-to-end supply chain, and continuing its efforts around being an in region/for region global manufacturing supplier.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Global SIOP Expert in our Denver office. This critical role will directly report to the VP, Global Sourcing and Logistics and will be pivotal in the strategic and operational leadership of our global supply chain activities.

As our Global SIOP leader, you will use your strategic thinking and leadership skills to drive the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process across the organization. This role ensures alignment between sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory and operational efficiency. Key areas of focus will include service levels (internal and external), Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), supply chain planning, inventory optimization, and materials management standard work. You will be entrusted with ensuring the seamless operation of our global supply chain network, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring maximized profitability. Your role will encompass strategic and tactical decision-making with a focus on synchronizing demand and supply to bolster superior customer delivery performance. Furthermore, you will integrate financial and operational plans within our strategic objectives to ensure a holistic approach towards achieving improved operational and financial results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a global SIOP strategy to align sales forecasts with production and inventory plans.
  • Champion the S&OP process throughout the organization, ensuring the alignment of our global standards with regional execution. You will foster cross-functional collaboration to develop optimal work practices around S&OP.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the SIOP process and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring product availability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the SIOP team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, globally dispersed team, driving a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement strategies to reduce holding costs, eliminate stock-outs, and minimize obsolescence.
  • Develop and standardize comprehensive metrics, tools, scorecards, and reports to enable our manufacturing and distribution teams to achieve superior customer service levels and optimal inventory targets.
  • Utilize these metrics to drive data-driven decisions, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. You will ensure visibility and transparency into the SIOP process to facilitate informed decision-making.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. An MBA or Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on SIOP or integrated business planning, and a multisite industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) in the areas of inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, advanced supply chain planning, and analytics.
  • Proven track record of leading and implementing SIOP processes in a global organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in SIOP software and tools, such as SAP IBP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM/APICS) certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
  • Experience and certification in Lean methodology and Kanban system implementation, with a demonstrated ability to streamline processes, eliminate waste and improve productivity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $180,000- $200,000
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Relocation is provided
