To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Able to read and understand machine code and programs.
  • At least 3 years of experience running a multi-axis CNC Mill
  • Ability to frequently lift light-weight material up to 25 lbs.

As a Mill Machinist II, you will:

  • Set up, run, and complete all other machinist level functions for 3-5 axis vertical machining centers.
  • Perform a complete range of operations on all types of materials on a CNC machining centers.
  • At times be asked to operate machines outside their area of expertise.
  • Participate in the planning of work within the cell.
  • Help solve problems as well as work in a team environment within the cell.
  • Inspect of all work performed, detecting unusual conditions, defective materials, and deviate parts.
  • Recognize any errors in blueprints and operation sheets.

In this position you would be to be mentored by senior personnel in the area to eventually qualify for available Development Machinist positions.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $28.00-$32.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
