Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our state-of-the-art testing facility. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the facility is well-maintained, compliant with all safety and regulatory standards, and supports the efficient execution of critical product testing.

Key Accountabilities

  • Management: Manage the daily operations of the testing facility. Ensure facility and systems are maintained and operational. Lead any preventive and routine management activity related to the testing facility (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, as well as software licenses and testing system calibrations). Regularly monitor systems and equipment to ensure reliable operation. Ensure support vehicles are maintained and operational.
  • Documentation: Maintain and track inventory of consumables used in the testing facility. Report budget status monthly. Maintain latest testing manuals required for the facility. Track maintenance intervals and completed activities. Report monthly on facility usage and downtimes.
  • Safety & Compliance: Plan and execute safety training for testers using the facility. Understand and coordinate latest safety practices in compliance with government and company standards. Enforce safety mindset and practice within the facility. Coordinate regular confirmation of emergency systems and warnings. Ensure plans are in place for evacuation, shelter, and snow and ice removal.
  • Budget: Create and manage annual testing facility maintenance budget. Create and execute maintenance and service contracts.
  • Scheduling: Manage and approve testing request in scheduling tool. Schedule maintenance and training activity around testing requirements.
  • Planning: Support testing facility operations roadmap planning activity. This includes providing expertise on facility upgrades for new testing as well as continual improvement activities.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management preferred
  • 5-9 years of related experience, based on education
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
