This is a job requiring full-time work onsite at JPL in Pasadena/Altadena, CA.

Your Mission: Key Responsibilities
Fuel your passion for technology and innovation by:


Building and Maintaining Excellence: Install, troubleshoot, and monitor diverse network equipment, from Cisco and Juniper switches and routers to UPS systems and structured cabling (fiber and copper).
Problem-Solving That Matters: Resolve complex switching, routing, and wireless issues to ensure seamless network performance.
Hands-On Impact: Support Campus and Data Center activations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Collaborative Solutions: Work closely with clients and service providers to test and guarantee reliable services that exceed expectations.
Critical Operations: Step up for after-hours and weekend tasks to tackle hardware upgrades, software enhancements, and crucial fixes.
Special Projects: Take the lead on impactful initiatives that sharpen your skills and broaden your horizons.
Expert Troubleshooting: Apply your knowledge of the OSI model, protocols, and Layer 1/2 technologies to ensure network reliability and security. Should have strong foundational understanding of L1/L2, Vlans, ACLs, subnetting, WiFi, ARP, LPG and spanning tree.
Driving Innovation:Developing automation or using new technologies.

What You Bring to the Table
We're looking for motivated individuals ready to make a difference. Bring your:

Qualifications and Certification: High School diploma (and 3-5 years of experience) or an Associate's degree (with 1-3 years of experience). Preferred (not required): Cisco CCNA or Juniper JNCIA-Junos certification.

Experience and Expertise: At least 2 years in switch and router configuration, plus a solid grasp of network performance tuning, LAN knowledge, and VPN basics.

Problem-Solving Power: A sharp analytical mind that excels at multitasking, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality results.

Tech-Savvy Skills: It is desirable to have (not required) a basic understanding of scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Visual Basic, enhancing efficiency and innovation.

The expected salary range for this job is $38-52/hour depending on related education, experience and assessment of relevant skills....
