Description
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in Finance and Warehouse related environments recommended
- Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills; must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer literate; some college accounting courses preferred; prior warehouse and receiving experience required
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret basic instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Superior knowledge of Purchase Order/Inventory Control systems software
- Superior knowledge of Cycle Count inventory process
License Requirements: Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation and Gaming License Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of all receiving team members on property
- Ensure all warehouse personnel have superior knowledge of and completely adhere to all Warehouse SOP's and company wide policies
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage specifications
- Ensure adequate staffing levels in the warehoue division of the Purchasing department by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining, and terminating team members as needed
- Ensure the integrity of all supplies delivered to the receiving dock
- Create, implement, and monitor a computerized itemization of all goods and supplies ordered, received and stored on property
- Establish proper inventory par levels are achieved and maintained to ensure highest level of inventory and cost efficiency
- Cooperate with Accounts Payable team members in the verification of orders received
- Compile statistical data for reporting purposes
- Maintain all files in the receiving division of the Purchasing department
- Direct Warehouse/Receiving personnel to fill stock requests for internal deliveries and maintain accurate records of all such requests
- Conduct the necessary research to effectively resolve receiving disputes
- Direct Warehouse/Receiving personnel to attach the invoice to purchase order and indicate the quantity received, number of boxes, date received, invoice number, and any other pertinent information as detailed in Warehouse SOP's
- Organize and preside over regularly scheduled Warehouse meetings with all team members under his/her span of control
- Responsible for End of Month and End of Year Inventory reporting, setting sufficient staffing for full physical inventories to ensure all reporting is completed prior to close of EOM/EOY business day
- Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Constantly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Constantly requires specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and to adjust focus
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. or more
