The Role:

The Vice President of Human Resources will play a critical role in the successful launch of our Chicago flagship location. This position will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance, particularly in a unionized environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in casino openings and a proven track record of managing union relationships.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the successful Bally's Chicago flagship opening and ongoing operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the HR efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, training, and onboarding of staff across all levels and departments.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition strategy to attract, recruit, and retain top talent
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with labor unions, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and fostering a cooperative work environment. Serve as the primary point of contact for union negotiations and grievances.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes employee engagement and retention.
  • Implement initiatives that support diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Oversee performance management systems that align individual and team goals with organizational objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as internal policies. Proactively identify and manage HR-related risks.
  • Streamline HR processes and systems to improve efficiency, utilizing data analytics to inform decision-making and enhance HR performance.
  • Partner with senior leadership across departments to understand business needs and provide strategic HR solutions that drive organizational success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality or gaming industry, specifically in casino openings.
  • Proven experience managing union relationships and navigating collective bargaining processes.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations relevant to the gaming and hospitality industries.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Experience in change management and employee engagement initiatives
