Process Engineer - Engineering

Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables, including process/mass balance calculations, design criteria/basis of design memoranda, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, tradeoff studies, and master planning studies.

Job Duties:



  • Typically supports multiple projects simultaneously with complex technical challenges
  • Thorough understanding process equipment and systems used in food processing facilities
  • Serves as a technical specialist with knowledge and skillset providing guidance to project teams in conventional and/or advanced food processing systems
  • Develops recommendations for appropriate treatment processes, equipment and/or materials selection
  • Oversees collection, assimilation, analysis, and management of data for process design work
  • Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
  • Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis problems and methods
  • Interface with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to resolve equipment availability issues.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's is preferred
  • Extensive experience in engineering roles, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibility and technical leadership.
  • In-depth expertise in a specific engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.) and a broad understanding of interdisciplinary engineering concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong project management skills and proficiency in project management tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging engineering trends and technologies.
