Overview
Credence is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Technology Practice. This position will provide an opportunity to work with an experienced team of Cloud Engineers, Solutions Architects, Data Scientists, Developers, and Cybersecurity professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a federal client environment and grow their career in the Cloud and Data Science spaces by honing their cloud and data science knowledge and skillsets.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into cloud-based data platforms.
- Integrate data pipelines into DevSecOps practices using support CI/CD pipelines
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and deploy data pipelines
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting data-related issues to ensure smooth operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, data scientists, cloud engineers, software engineers, and business analysts to enable data-driven decision-making
- Research and stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices
Education, Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD clearance
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with Airflow or other workflow management tools for scheduling and monitoring data pipelines
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Experience with AWS systems (e.g., S3, Lambda, DynamoDB)
- Experience with Oracle databases, including data modeling and query optimization
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and experience with GitLab and Terraform
- Experience with Linux administration, including scripting and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Nice to Have:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Engineer, AWS Certified Developer)
- Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g. CSM, SAFE Agile certifications, etc.)
- Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP)
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and serverless computing
- Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
