Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Our Building Structures team is hiring an experience Engineer to join our team in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

    Multi-tasker with ability to perform building and building-related structural design and condition assessments and develop construction drawings for concrete, wood, and steel structures. Must be able to develop own construction documentation using AutoCAD/REVIT. Will lead project team and work with other disciplines. Able to use Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam/Adobe. Experience with RISA/RAM is preferred.
  • Provide mentoring, technical development, and general oversight of junior staff.
  • Perform and QA/QC calculations, drawings, reports, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
  • Plan workload, track and meet budgets for structural tasks/projects.
  • Maintain existing client relationships.
  • Candidate must have worked on all phases of design as well as provided construction administration/bid phase services.
  • Good problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills are required. A solid background of reliability, commitment to task and project completion and success is required.

Required Expereince:

  • Structural Engineer with at least 5 years of experience using structural design software, AutoCAD/Revit, and building design.
  • Must have field experience and ability to work with clients, contractors, and other disciplines.
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited school. Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
  • Structural Engineering (SE) license a plus. NCEES registration a plus and the ability to obtain licenses in other states is required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Appropriate graduate level work is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 - 9 years of professional experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
