HENRY FORD JACKSON HOSPITAL The 420-bed Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is Magnet designated and a Level II Trauma Center. Acute care services are complemented by more than 40 community-based ambulatory locations. The hospital's broad range of specialty services includes cardiac surgery and minimally invasive structural heart procedures, neurosurgery and advanced cancer care, as well as home health care and hospice services, and the Henry Ford Hospice Home, the only hospice residence in Jackson County. GENERAL SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the provider, nursing leadership and/or a Registered Nurse (RN) performs a variety of nursing care functions within all aspects of Endoscopy. Will implement appropriate actions as assigned to provide support and comfort to the patients needs, observes the patient and communicates pertinent data to the RN . Performs technical patient care services under supervision of nursing leadership and a RN or the Charge RN. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. Graduation from an Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program, Surgical Technician, Emergency Medical Tech training, preferred. Familiarity with endoscopy equipment or scope/instrument reprocessing, preferred. Minimal two years health care exposure in a similar clinic setting, preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: BLS required.
