Posting Date: 12/06/2024 What your job will be like: Do you have a passion for solving technical challenges in pursuit of groundbreaking science? At Jefferson Lab, our Engineering Division provides technical services to the entire lab to support ongoing accelerator operations and other lab initiatives. We are seeking a skilled, self-motivated individual to join our Cryogenics Group as a Fabrication/Welding Technician. In this position, you will lead and coordinate various cryogenic fabrication and installation projects as well as provide counsel in support of the engineering and design staff requesting guidance on best practices. Responsible for fabricating, welding, and installing components while directing and mentoring less skilled, junior technicians. Work within the fabrication group to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved on all projects. This includes active involvement in planning, organizing the workforce, and providing regular updates to management on the progress of work based on schedule.
