Process Engineering Manager
The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the Process, Project and Manufacturing Engineering functions at the site level. This position provides strategic and tactical engineering leadership to support the site engineering functions that are critical to achieving stated business goals, profitability and objectives. Will manage a contract electronics assembly manufacturing engineering team in support of the customer's build to specification designs.

circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense.
Job Description & Essential Functions:
Directs and supports the engineering function in standard practices for capability planning, as well as project, manufacturing engineering, machining capabilities, tool design, process engineering and contract manufacturing design.
Active member of the leadership site team in the planning and execution of the business as well as represents the site in all engineering capabilities, services both internal and external to customers.
Support site cross-functional and cross site continuous improvement teams for Product Integrity, Program Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions.
Participates in the annual operating plan (AOP) as well as long range strategic planning (LRP) and budgeting process, with budgetary responsibility for the Engineering Departments' capital planning, process/equipment standardization and technology roadmaps.
Participates in customer visits, representing the engineering capabilities of the business in order to capture or provide solutions to complex customer needs and requirements.
Leads the development of engineering skills and succession depth to meet the site AOP and LRP strategic goals.
Leads New Product Introductions (NPI) and Process Development Teams as well as drives and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Directs engineering and the facilities to meet or exceed quality, delivery and cost goals.
Travel negligible but up to 20% at peak times.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business
- Proficient in technical writing, good documentation skills; attention to detail is critical
- Negotiation and conflict management skills together, with demonstrated experience troubleshooting, and problem-solving, especially for interdepartmental issues
- Computer proficiency--Intermediate level in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside Ducommun Inc.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment; supervisory experience is preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities and prioritization skills
- Strong team skills; ability to interact with all levels in the organization including ability to provide advice and counsel to senior decision makers
- Ability to quickly and accurately assess and address complex problems using creative approaches
- Demonstrated strategic thinking skills that portray the ability to conceptualize business requirements in a proactive manner

Required Experience/ Education/ Training:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 to 10 years engineering experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated project management experience-planning, budget, allocation of resources, profit & loss statements, cash flow, and balance sheets
