Your responsibilities
Job Summary The senior team lead will manage/coordinate and monitor the activities of the entire warehouse (all shifts.) Provide on-the-job training as needed. Interact with the Customer at all levels of Management. Ensure completion of work and customer requirements while complying with all company quality and safety processes. May provide input to the Customer Support Manager regarding performance. Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the inspection process, responsible for the laborers Team Leads and the inspection of customer products for the assigned tables
  • Must lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping skills in all areas of the facility
  • Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Report any accidents or incidents that occur within the facility immediately to a supervisor
  • Responsible for the coordination of shift start activities prior to start time (table requirements, paperwork, etc...)
  • Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available for completion of jobs
  • Provide on the job training for any new work instructions when applicable
  • Must be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs
  • Provide input to Customer Service Manager regarding performance
  • Report any policy or procedure violations to Customer Support Manager
  • Participate, support and comply with all health and safety initiatives and requirements
  • Interact with the Customer on a daily/weekly/monthly frequencies ensuring complete Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensure proper and accurate documentation, paperwork is submitted on a daily basis
  • Ensure appropriate Off-Site tool kits (Laptop/Printer/Tools), certification stickers, required PPE and materials are available for completion of jobs
  • Comply with all Customer Off-Site regulations and work rules
  • Maintain Customer Site badge access where required
  • Quote new Hourly Inspection jobs as they arise for the Off-Site locations
  • Perform employee evaluations on a regular basis
  • Provide orientation for the Off-Site location and continuous training as required
  • This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Previous experience in customer service and supervisory capacity
  • Ability to workdays, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekends
  • Own transportation
  • Ability to manage a team of people (5-15 per shift)
  • Experience as a team lead or supervisor
  • Experience in automotive setting is an asset - we are willing to train for the right person!
  • Read, write, speak English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate, able to utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and email software
  • Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements:

  • Preferred quality knowledge within an automotive environment
  • Understanding of measurement units and tolerancing; ability to train others in this area
