Job Purpose

Manage programs and services to expatriates from Japan to provide comprehensive support to expatriates so that they can make the most of their abilities in a foreign country. The position is responsible for the overall operational management of three areas:



  • Provide support for Japanese associates and their families that are posted to the US.
  • J-Staff Share point administrator and developer.
  • Reception of business travelers from Japan.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support for Japanese associates and their families that are posted to the US:

    • Various arrangements and preparations for the daily life and work of J-staff newly assigned to the US.
    • Provide ongoing support and general service support for J-staff.
    • Overall management of housing program for J-staff associate. Provide communications on housing programs and reinforcement of policy.
    • Research housing market condition to provide analysis and recommendations. In partnership with Law Business Unit, negotiate with landlords on complex cases.
    • Provide guidance and consultations to J-staff associates regarding their personal situations that they encounter during their assignment in the US.


  • J-Staff Share point administrator and developer:

    • Lead the overall management of share-point site.
    • Provide guidance to each J-Ops member regarding website editing.
    • Responsible for providing technical support to the users.


  • Reception of business travelers from Japan:

    • Negotiations with AH Travel staff and hotel managers to secure hotel.
    • Planning of orientation programs.
    • Collect feedback from the Japanese expatriates and business travelers for the future planning to continuously pursue efficient and effective operations.



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in J-staff administration services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures of US and Japan to meet organizational needs and goals.
  • Project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.

Working Conditions

  • There is over time work.
  • Occasional travel to other states may be required.
