Candidates who can contribute to that goal are encouraged to identify their strengths or experiences in this area. *** Office Assistant~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please note that this position will remain open until filled. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Primary Function: Working between the One Stop Front Desk [i.e., front line] and the Call Center's switchboard assisting students, parents, and collaborating with other college departments. You will report to the Director, One Stop and Military-affiliated Student Services. Responsibilities: Work with assigned staff on: (1) Provide personal and streamlined customer service to diverse students and parents navigating the pre and post enrollment process from either the One Stop Front Desk or the Call Center's switchboard . (2) Assist students, families and the community at large by (a) by providing college-wide information, (b) answer general admissions and enrollment questions, (c) start the Admissions application and enrollment process, (d) start the FASFA submission process and answer general financial aid questions (e) navigate post enrollment matters such as understanding financial aid process and awards, class registration, connecting with academic advisors, accessing Workday/student portal, setting up payment plans and other information related to academic records. (3) Provide services both in person, on the phone and virtual platforms utilizing various technologies.(4) Commit to a high level of respect for student's privacy and data security in compliance with FERPA, Graham Leach Bliley, HEA and any other relevant legislation surrounding student data. (5) Implement special responsibilities: as assigned by supervisor. Qualification: (1) Education: (a) high school graduate, Associate's degree preferred; (b) any combination of training and experience which would facilitate the performance of the above duties. (2) Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: (a) ability to use technology systems and tools to support operations; (b) Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills; (c) proficient in College standard software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; (d) accuracy with figures and form completion; (e) aptitude for work to be performed and ability to maintain confidentiality of student and family information; (f) strong customer service, and oral and written communication skills; (g) adaptability; (h) reliability; (i) high degree of confidentiality; (j) ability to prioritize and organize work; (k) ability to function effectively as a member of a team; (l) ability and willingness to adapt to automated methods of information processing.(m) Spanish language: advanced speaking, writing and reading skills highly desirable (3) Experience: Related experience required. |
