Job Description

Are you a business professional looking for a new opportunity to employ your talents Check out this position in our Information Technology Department's Business Operations Unit within the Program Management Office (PMO)! The Business Operations unit provides business services to IT including budget management, procurement management, contract support, and related performance reporting services, among others! The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support and/or manage IT budgets: workforce, materials and services, travel, training and/or overtime. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing accurate reporting, maintaining accurate records for the assigned areas of responsibility, and investigating causes of variance from planned budgets. Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate is a plus! Team members on the Business Operations team are often called upon to collaborate with colleagues throughout IT and other parts of the company to complete various deliverables throughout the year. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of relevant experience; or
  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

* Experience or ability to learn to manage budgets (workforce, materials and services, travel, training, overtime)

* Experience with Microsoft products, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

* Experience working in a team environment with shared responsibilities

* Experience or ability to learn how to build and maintain reports with Power Platform (e.g., Power BI)

* Ability to establish/maintain excellent relationships with peers, management, and customers across multiple locations

* Ability to approach work with a customer-first mentality

* Strong Interpersonal and presentation skills, including written and verbal communications.

Pay Range
$62,000.00 - $94,900.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guide line only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. We rely on the dedication and innovation of our nearly 8000 engineers, scientists, technicians, and support personnel.
