Head Disk Engineer - Early Career

This team contributes to the head and disk design for making large capacity disk drives with this latest technology - Design verification, failure analysis, problem solving, data analysis and hands on lab measurements. • Optimize the head/disk electrical interface.
• Bench level testing of hard drives
• Analyze large data sets of hard drive parametrics.
• Work both independently and with a team.

• You are a proficient experimentalist
• You will have the ability to process and analyze large data sets.
• You can program in Python or Matlab
• You have hands on failure analysis skills.
• You are willing to learn.
• You are able to work in a self-directed manner.

• You are familiar with magnetic principles
• You have hands on failure analysis skills.
• Familiar with Oscilloscopes and lab equipment
• Some lab equipment experience
• Programming experience
• Lab equipment experience such as oscilloscopes, Spectrum analyzers, etc.
• A Master or Phd degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related degree are preferred but not required.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $$88,000.00 - $121,000.00. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
