Spire is seeking a Director, Associate General Counsel, Corporate Governance and Securities to join our Legal team. This position will be available at the corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO, reporting to the Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer & Corporate Secretary. This position will be responsible for serving as Assistant Corporate Secretary and will provide daily support to the Corporate Secretary. This position will also serve as lead counsel to the corporate finance organization, which includes controllership and external reporting, treasury and capital markets, investor relations, and tax. This position is the lead attorney for the purposes of ensuring compliance with securities laws and related corporate governance issues, with significant interactions with members of the Board of Directors, executives and other key decision-makers across the company. The ideal candidate will have broad-based experience with sophisticated legal issues in a business setting coupled with experience working in a law firm, with an emphasis on corporate and securities matters under federal securities laws, corporate governance issues, and general corporate finance and capital markets matters. The ideal candidate will also be open to learning new areas of law, such as ERISA and/or labor and employment. Duties and Responsibilities
