Functional Analyst

***This position requires the ability to obtain a secret clearance and US Citizenship per our government client***

Cherokee Federal is seeking a dedicated Functional Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in coordinating special projects and performing specialized technical tasks related to the installation, maintenance, servicing, modification, troubleshooting, and calibration of biomedical systems and instrumentation. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring compliance with care policies, health information technology equipment, and medical maintenance initiatives. As a Functional Analyst, you will provide technical guidance, assist in the development of maintenance plans, and contribute to the management of technical documentation for medical equipment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Functional Analyst: The wage range starts at $80,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Functional Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating and overseeing special projects related to biomedical systems and instrumentation.
  • Providing preventive maintenance for integrated diagnostic systems and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Offering technical assistance and instruction in equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Collaborating with vendors for maintenance, calibration, installation, and verification of service documentation.
  • Developing maintenance plans and procedures for medical equipment.
  • Reviewing, tracking, and disseminating alerts and recalls on medical equipment.
  • Assisting in the support of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Documenting maintenance actions and equipment introductions.
  • Diagnosing equipment malfunctions and providing necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Managing Technical Manuals for medical, dental, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Assisting in technical documentation for equipment support and procurement.
  • Generating reports using government-maintained systems for planning and operations.
  • Providing remote or onsite guidance on Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Life Cycle Management.
  • Maintaining professional development through certifications and continuing education.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Functional Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), Engineering
  • Alternative: Adult Education in Biomedical Equipment Technology with 4 years of relevant experience can substitute for education.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years as a Functional Systems Analyst or Biomedical Technician is required.
  • Familiarity with DoD, DoN, and BUMED Life Cycle Management and Personal Property Management programs is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with HTM equipment and systems is highly desired.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of systems analysis and design techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, TABLEAU, and BITAB.

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass Cherokee Federal's pre-employment qualifications.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance and hold U.S. citizenship (as required by the government client).
  • Travel requirements- Domestic travel, 10% up to a week at a time
  • Schedule M-F Days- exempt
  • On-site requirement 3 days a week, hybrid
