This role reports to the Director for Clinical Services Culture, Climate, and Community Engagement and is a member of team focused on advancing health equity at UC Davis. The position is an advanced staff position responsible for project management, program development and management, and reporting. The responsibilities include the formation of project teams for health equity initiatives; developing project specifications, plans, and tracking/reporting structures; clinical analytics and workflow development; and managing instructional and skills-development programs. The incumbent will work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure appropriate development and implementation of the strategic initiatives. The position facilitates establishing short- and long-term goals for projects to achieve timely and quality results. The incumbent will recommend changes in health equity practices use national standards and data to inform improvement initiatives.
This position will exercise initiative, innovation, analytical organization, priority setting, leadership, professional judgment, and equity-minded lens in applying established principles and practices to new and unusual problems. The incumbent must also demonstrate extensive project management skills including current performance improvement tools and techniques, leadership strategies, effective communication skills, and professionalism with personnel at all levels in the health system, UC Davis campus, external community partners, and agencies. Work is performed independently under general direction. Ability to travel to all clinics and various UC Davis Health locations preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience and training.
- Direct experience in the areas of health equity theories and strategies, population health, delivery system reform, and CLAS standards.
- Experience with health program policy analysis in the areas of inequities in healthcare, root causes, and innovative strategies toward health equity.
- Experience implementing and evaluating population-based health program, health and equity strategies.
- Experience in organizational and project management to direct projects from inception to completion.
- Experience in evaluating highly-complex information, problem assessment, developing and recommending effective solutions.
- Effective communication and writing experience to create and present detailed information from analysis and executive summary reports.
- In-depth knowledge of health equity theories and strategies, population health, delivery system reform, and CLAS standards. Analysis of inequities in healthcare, root causes, and innovative strategies toward health equity.
- In-depth knowledge of health program policy analysis. Advanced ability to produce reports.
- Advanced organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and constituencies, prioritize tasks, and direct projects from inception to completion.
- Advanced ability to influence and collaborate with staff, management, clinicians across departments, patients, and community partners.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving to evaluate highly-complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions.
- Advanced interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with clinical and professional staff, patients and community members, and learners.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in health-related field or relevant profession, or a combination of comparable clinical education and /or experience preferred.
- Experience working with an academic medical center and its diverse constituents.
- Experience in start-up environments and demonstrated skills navigating ambiguity and complex environments.
- Advanced skills in building consensus, navigating and resolving conflict, and developing strong rapport.
- Ability to travel to all clinics and various UC Davis Health locations.
