Job Description:

Crowe is seeking a growth-oriented Actuarial Manager to help drive the expansion of our actuarial practice within our Valuation Services team. This exciting position will provide the right individual with an opportunity to grow with the two-year-old actuarial practice and work with clients across our Consulting practice and firm. A self-starter that has the desire to fast track their career while gaining extensive knowledge in all aspects of consulting is highly desired. This is an opportunity to be a leader in supporting the growth of our practice, with a focus on high-quality delivery, exceptional client service, and world-class teaming.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to:

  • Prepare and present key actuarial findings to clients

  • Perform project tasks, independently, as well as direct the efforts of team members

  • Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverables that align with client needs

  • Formulate solutions to solve client problems

  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality

  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team consultants

  • Assist in new business development opportunities and thought leadership activities, including speaking and creation of materials for Crowe webinars, as well as industry presentations

  • Lead the onboarding and maintenance of clients including billing activities, contract development, and Crowe systems onboarding

  • Contribute to new business opportunities and proposal development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field required

  • Master's degree (Master of Science in Financial Engineering) for complex analytics, ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) or MAAA (Member of the American Academy of Actuaries as well as ASA and FSA from the Society of Actuaries) is a plus

  • ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser (Accredited Member), American Society of Appraisers, ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analysis) required

  • Candidate must be on the actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of 6+ actuarial exams

  • Must have at least 5 (five) years of actuarial experience, including 3 (three) years of experience managing and providing team management/oversight, including leading engagements

  • Prior consulting experience is highly desired

  • Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension both formally and informally to our clients and our teams, in a variety of formats and settings, including in interviews, meetings, calls, e-mails, reports, process narratives, presentations, etc

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $111,600.00 - $215,300.00 per year.
