  • Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for polysomnographic data on one or two patients throughout the night with ability to recognize pathology and differentiate artifact from real physiological data.
  • The technologist must also note and report all events, behaviors and information that may be relevant to a patient's evaluation.
  • Conducts a program of treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with sleep-related breathing disorders in a safe and therapeutically effective manner.
  • Correctly administers services in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintains awareness of environmental conditions and initiates corrective intervention as indicated.
  • Possess an expanded level of technical competence that is shared effectively with other staff.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the medical staff.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Graduation or equivalent
  • Current licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist by the Idaho Board of Medicine
  • Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist by the National Board for Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Completion of a clinical polysomnography and/or respiratory care program approved by the American Medical Association
