Position Summary |
The Sponsorship and Fiscal Operations Manager position is responsible for coordinating and managing the fundraising and fiscal operations of the Peabody Awards, as well as being the main point of contact for the West and East Coast Boards of Directors. This position will support the executive director in working directly with external fundraising consultants and the boards of directors to oversee all fundraising and revenue generation initiatives, including corporate sponsorships of the annual awards ceremony, advertising revenue for programming assets, fundraising for the capital campaign, and internal donations and gift campaigns from board members and external constituencies. This position will also work with Grady College's Director of Finance to manage Peabody's fiscal assets, including budgeting and state and foundation accounts, as well as work in concert with the Administrative Specialist in managing Peabody's other fiscal and legal matters. This position will also support and oversee occasional specialized research projects, as well as identifying potential grant opportunities. |

Fundraising Support and Revenue Generation Activities (70%)
- Work with the executive director, the Peabody Boards of Directors, and outside fundraising consultants to craft, implement, and manage fundraising strategies in Peabody's $15 million campaign.
- Engage with University of Georgia development officers to finalize and track individual and corporate giving through the UGA Foundation.
- Engage with external sponsorship consultants, Peabody's Chief Marketing Officer, and the Peabody Boards of Directors to support corporate sponsorships for the annual awards ceremony, special events, and key communication platforms such as Peabody's podcast and newsletter, leveraging public relations strategies to maximize visibility.
- Support annual board leadership giving from Peabody's two board of directors, east coast and west coast, and help cultivate fundraising with and through board events and activities.
- Lead Peabody's annual Giving Day in November, utilizing public relations campaigns to amplify donor participation and community involvement.
- Develop additional giving opportunities for more localized groups such as Friends of Peabody Clubs in Atlanta and Athens.
- Work with the boards of directors and Peabody team to specific fundraising events in the journalism, documentary, and entertainment communities in New York, LA, Atlanta, and Athens, among others.

Budget and Fiscal Management (25%)
- Work closely with Grady College's Director of Finance and Administration in managing all of Peabody's fiscal matters, which include budgeting, state and foundation accounts, deposits, subscriptions, requisition, contracts and vendors, legal and procurement, and employees and contractors.
- Work with Peabody's Administrative Specialist who supports all matters related to contracts, procurement, UGA Legal Affairs Office, and other administrative matters in Peabody's fiscal and legal obligations.

- As arises, help coordinate and manage various special research projects, the results of which will aid fundraising efforts.
- Help coordinate and oversee various Peabody databases.
