The UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking an Full-time Lead Patient Services Coordinator to work in our Truman Health Services Team. This candidate must be an excellent communicator with a desire to be part of a great team! Minimum $35,339 - Midpoint $43,451* *Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience. *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced Primary Care Clinic and is familiar with the processes related to verifying insurance, verifying patient eligibility for services, scheduling appointments and handling a multiline phone. This candidate will have experience collecting patient co-pays, maintaining and balancing daily cash collections, and preparing deposits In addition, this role requires someone who is dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic with an overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic who can coordinate calls and registration while providing superb customer service. Summary Under limited supervision, performs a wide variety of administrative support functions at assigned UNMMG Ambulatory Clinic including but not limited direct service to patients either by phone or in person by scheduling appointments, receptionist duties, verifying demographic and insurance information, obtaining referral and prior authorizations with insurance carriers. Assist with concerns and complaints and serving as a liaison as needed with physicians, other providers and insurance companies. Minimum Job Requirements of a Patient Services Coordinator: High school diploma or GED. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirements may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
