Your Opportunity

The Associate Accounting Manager is responsible for accounting functions. This involves planning, directing, and managing timely analysis and decision support in the finance department.

Core Responsibilities
  • Serve as company-wide key resource on US GAAP and IFRS accounting matters and financial disclosure requirements. Assist financial reporting and accounting teams in resolving accounting-related questions regarding business transactions and other non-routine matters.
  • Engage in and perform accounting research related to new or complex transactions.
  • Engage with accounting/finance personnel and other business leaders to build and enhance awareness of various accounting requirements and accounting policies.
  • Review and interpret upcoming changes to US GAAP and IFRS standards and assess financial statement, disclosure and operational process implications.
  • Manage implementation of new accounting guidance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to manage the audit deliverables and deadlines.
  • Assist with ad-hoc special projects and Corporate initiatives.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related discipline from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Prior experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management, preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work through complex, unstructured problems.
  • Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and verbal formats.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply GAAP accounting practices.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Track record for exceeding multiple goals on various projects with short deadlines at the same time.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and to handle competing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and guidance to employees in the accounting department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
