We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team and drive our growth in the technology sector.

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth for Consolidated Communications in the Telcom Technology industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the telecommunications market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful business development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve company growth objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with potential clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of business development activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Develop and manage programs that focus on revenue grow, fiber expansion and unique new opportunities
  • Drive revenue growth, fiber expansions and vertical growth in DC to DC, hyperscalers, enterprise space
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Telecommunications, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, engineering or a related role within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding business development targets.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies, products, and services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands are minimal and generally consistent with the performance of routine office duties. Majority of the day is spent sitting at a desk, working with computers, printers, files, and standard office equipment. Movement is required in the use of office equipment, supply locations, files, and other work locations and meeting rooms. Lifting, generally less than 20 pounds occasionally required for transporting boxes, materials and office supplies. Must be able to communicate effectively to perform job tasks.

Salary

Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $107,137 - $162,236
