About this Position:

This position is responsible for investigating market failures to: determine root cause, coordinate countermeasures with the responsible areas (including factory/design testing and verification) and drive improvement activities (implementation and effectiveness monitoring) to accurately report to management. Position objective is to advance improvement in specified metrics (closure speed, accuracy, warranty ratio, claim rate) to reduce the impact that market issues have on AHM PS&P business.

Responsibilities include:



  • Quality Information Communications (QICs) Investigations (Market Trouble Report): Timely and actively support with NCM-SCM departments to troubleshoot and identify root cause for market issues, then support countermeasure creation, and verification of application. This includes QIC progress meeting organization, preparation, and presentation of status as required.
  • Q-Theme: Lead or support a cross functional analysis team in complex market quality investigations to identify root causes and countermeasures of market issues. Preparation and follow through of market treatment as required.
  • Model Market Monitoring: Monitor the market of assigned models daily as part of the market monitoring team with a focus on providing technical perspective to prioritize issues. Collaborate within the market monitor team to select issues to be promoted for resolution by the Technical Analysis unit. Participate in daily quality priority meeting sharing concise summaries of priority issues that clearly illustrate the background and severity of the selected issues as needed. Role includes warranty parts investigation, spec. confirmation, and risk identification.
  • Regularly produce and present progress status and technical reports for AHM & HM management review, feedback, and/or approval.
  • Technical Analysis Unit Continued Development - Collaborate to improve the processes and procedures for the Technical Analysis team as part of ASX Division. Correlate best practices and know-how.


Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 5+ years in manufacturing or quality related responsibility. Fundamental understanding of engineering and business concepts is expected.


Required Education:



  • BS Electrical Engineering/Electrical Engineering Technology in related field or demonstratable skill from experience in quality and/or product engineering

  • Technical/Business Acumen - Applies and contributes to the development of new concepts, technologies, and techniques at the local operating level; serves and is respected as both the internal and external Subject Matter Expert within their area of expertise at the local operating level; Uses awareness of industry, regulatory and compliance factors and to understands impact to one's area; is aware of competitors, trends, and technology advancements; Establishes triggers and metrics to ensure smooth operations from a department viewpoint; ensures appropriate management systems and processes are in place and monitored for compliance; regularly evaluates effectiveness of established systems and processes; Understands the concept of cost management from the business and product (1-CBU) viewpoint and makes sound decisions from a total company viewpoint.



Additional Position Factors:

* Hybrid, with expectation of normal on-site hours

* 0-5 hours overtime per week is possible.

* Occasional weekend work

* Travel as required, typically 15% of time
