Job Overview:
Position Summary: The Digital Design Content Coordinator contributes to the Best for All strategic plan by leveraging technology to create high-quality resources for schools and districts aligned to the priorities of the Tennessee Department of Education. The individual in this position will assist in the development of content and tools for instruction; professional development; and school, district, and student support. They will assist with the management of project logistics and support users who are having technical issues. They will maintain project records and help ensure projects are on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Learning
- Serves as one of TDOE's experts in managing and using the department's digital tools, including Best for All Central, TeachALL, Calendar and Catalog, etc.
- Assists lead in managing relationships with content experts and building workflow
- Ensures that stakeholders use the Digital Learning intake systems with fidelity
- Maintain project management records including:
- Project plan/descriptions
- Managing intake and close out forms
- Tracking submissions for larger projects
- Works with content experts to identify and capture learning content on Best For All Central and TeachALL
- Implementation and Maintenance
- Supports the maintenance of online learning platforms, including uploading new content, managing content revisions, ensuring resources are up-to-date, and identifying areas for improvement as needed
- Build pages according to design specifications laid out by the director and in line with stakeholder expectations.
- Build components for TeachALL courses according to design specifications
- Ensure that resources submitted by content creators meet 508/ADA compliance criteria
- Translates user feedback into suggestions and recommendations for improving the user experience.
- Assists the Director of Digital Learning in developing and executing a rollout plan for online resources
- Assist with course testing and troubleshooting prior to launch
- Provides feedback and input to help shape policies and guidelines around using digital media effectively and responsibly
- Assists in the development of user guides and quick-start guides to support the use of online tools
- Assists in developing trainings or resources to help educators use the online platform
- Monitor and reply to feedback from multiple sources, including the Best for All feedback form and the LMS inbox.
- Manage TeachALL users to ensure they can log in, receive their certificates, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education related field required; master's degree preferred
- 3 or more years in an education-related position preferred
- Experience in the areas of digital learning and common educational technologies
Required Experience:
- Content Knowledge: Strong understanding of how to vet digital resources and use them to support high-quality instructional materials; also clearly understands how a teacher would utilize the digital learning resources being created and compiled
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage all components of a project from vision setting to progress monitoring along the way
- Organizational Skills: Excellent systems in place to manage internal projects as well as various materials associated with said projects
- Coaching Skills: Experience with coaching educators preferred
- Customer Focus: A tendency to consistently consider the needs of internal and external customers, to provide service at a high level of quality, and to evaluate customer satisfaction
