Job Description Summary:

The Microelectronics Integration and Test group is seeking a Microelectronics Integration and Test Engineer. As a member of the technical staff, the candidate will apply microelectronic test methods to characterize, evaluate, verify, and validate custom microelectronic solutions designed at Draper.

These systems include application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), both analog and digital, as well as custom microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). The candidate will also support the integration of these devices into systems and contribute to the test and evaluation of the integrated systems.

The ideal candidate is someone who works well in cross-functional teams and has experience with the integration and testing of microelectronic systems. They also will have the following skills:

*Good documentation skills
*Activities include bring up and debug, electrical testing, performance characterization, reliability stresses, radiation testing, and characterization across extreme environments
*Test plan development and execution
*Lead tasks
*Design for test
*Document test requirements, test concept, create test plans and develop test methods

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
* Help define an I&T approach for a particular component / subsystem / system and independently execute plan.
* Contribute high quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
* Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
* Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with plan execution and communicate them to project leadership.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Collaborate and communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program team members. program leadership, and non-technical personnel

Education
Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.

Experience
Requires 3-5 years in Systems Engineering or relevant role.

Additional Job Description:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collaborate with hardware and software design teams to ensure designs are testable and provide feedback throughout the design process
  • Serve as system integrators, understand the customer needs
  • Ability to support multiple program offices including Electronics Systems, Space Systems, Strategic Systems, and Biomedical Systems
  • Experience with electronics test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, thermal chambers
  • Experience with the test of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs)
  • Experience with printed circuit board fabrication, test, and validation
  • Experience automating tests using Python or other scripting language
  • Exposure to MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-883 test methods
  • Experience with manual and automated probe station operation
  • Track-record of test plan development, taking requirements and/or system concepts and turning those into verification plans
  • Experience with evaluation and characterization of new designs, including the creation of evaluation and characterization plans
  • Experience leading test campaigns to demonstrate verification and validation
  • Familiarity with the development of requirement verification test matrices
  • Experience with test data analysis using tools such as Python and/or MATLAB
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
