Landscape/Facilities Technician

immediate, 5-month contract
opportunity, possiblity of hire as a Landscape/Facilities Technician to join out client reporting to their office in Gainesville, FL

• $17-20/hr.
• 40 hours week/OT as necessary

The Landscaping Technician focus specializes in the general upkeep of the external grounds of the firm's facilities, such as lawn care, plant care, tree care, and regular patrols to check on conditions. Other duties including but not limited to general internal/external facility maintenance activities. What You Will Be Doing

• Assists in the upkeep of the external grounds of the organization's facilities.
• Plants and cares for flowers and shrubbery.
• Maintains lawn and sprinkler system.
• Maintains lawn equipment.
• Patrols grounds to check on conditions.
• May be responsible for coordinating efforts of grounds keeping vendors.
• Supports maintenance team as needed.

Who You Are

• 1-3 years of Landscaping and general Maintainence experience
• Landscape design experience a plus
• HS/GED Required
• Must have the ability to communicate, written and verbally, with other members of the team; basic Computer skills (Outlook/Word)
• Proven ability to handle and organize multiple competing projects, displays a sense of urgency
• Excellent attendance & punctuality
• Strong team player with a great attitude
