- Associate degree or 7 + years' experience working in a manufacturing facility, in leu of degree.
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Functional proficiency in Windows-based software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ongoing passion to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to deliver results. Must be a change agent.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
It would be great to have...
- B.A. degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Cross-functional operations experience with a proven track record of delivering successful business results in the areas of operations management, safety, quality, continuous improvement, and cost.
- Previous experience managing a team of salaried employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, HACCP guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), etc.
What you will do...
- Establish production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls.
- Ensures all established safety, cost, and quality objectives are met. Facilitate and/or direct resolution to issues as it relates to food safety and quality (also during the absence of the Plant Manager).
- Provide guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plans for products, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
- Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Proactively supports and participates in all continuous improvement activities and initiatives.
- Review production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Facilitate and/or direct resolution to issues as it relates to food safety and quality (also during the absence of the Plant Manager). Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
- Develop and implement effective communication plans to keep Plant Management, Corporate partners, and direct/indirect reports well-informed regarding business objectives, results, initiatives, changes, etc.
- Provide input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.
- Trains, coaches, and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, regulatory, and customer policies and procedures.
- Assume responsibility for ensuring adherence to Food Safety practices and policies.
- Has 24-hour accountability for the operation; readily available to provide guidance and direction and address any issues that impact the operation.
- Responsible for the daily management of the operation, as well as for strategic planning, budgeting, enabler identification, capital projects, etc.
- Must possess the ability to overcome resistance to organizational change, influence employees to embrace it, and lead the change initiative.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.
- Must develop and maintain rapport with employees at all levels of The Campbells Company organization to drive results. Must interface effectively with multiple departments/functions in the plant, as well as Senior Management.
Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $77,800-$111,900
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
