Targeting Officer SME

Cherokee Preting is seeking an exceptionally qualified Targeting Officer SME to provide on-site support to the customer to complement the existing collections menu of Human Intelligence (HUMINT) requirements. The Targeting Officer perform detailed open source and classified research, intelligence analysis, and application of HUMINT doctrine. The SME level position is expected to provide technical leadership, planning, guidance, and implementation of assigned efforts.

Targeting Officer SME Responsibilities Include:

• Interface and collaborate with collectors, reports officers, targeting officers, and analysts
• Develop all-source Target Packages and perform detailed analytical support in response to customer Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Coordinate with requestor and mission partners to determine required/desired parameters
• Collaborate with stakeholders to Identify unsatisfied and new intelligence requirements
• Identify and nominate HUMINT targets and lead and produce detailed, actionable, and timely Lead Tenders, Lead Development Packages, Source Development Analysis, Source Validation Products, and time sensitive quick turnaround targeting support products
• Provide timely and accurate support to HUMINT targeting support within the Department of Defense (DoD) to meet service-level needs and collection requirements
• Deconflict on multi-discipline collection problems and seek opportunities to leverage and integrate HUMINT capabilities to support multi-discipline collection efforts
• Represent defense HUMINT in agency, defense and national forums
• Performs other job related duties as assigned

Targeting Officer SME Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Shall possess a current Counter-Intelligence Scope or Lifestyle polygraph or be willing to take a polygraph exam
• Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience supporting intelligence operations as a Targeting Officer, Targeting Analyst, or an All Source Analyst
• Shall possess an in-depth understanding of advanced HUMINT operational techniques, HUMINT authorities, collection processes, the HUMINT operational cycle, Intelligence Oversight, and the Intelligence Cycle
• Bachelor's Degree required. Education requirement can be substituted by an additional six years of full-spectrum HUMINT Targeting experience
• Must display knowledge and understanding of case management
• Experience with intelligence automated systems, specifically targeting-centric databases ISO HUMINT operations
• Current Top Secret clearance and SCI eligible
• Must possess a valid US passport
• Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements including a medical, dental, psychological, background, credit, and security screens as deemed necessary to be considered deployable
• Must be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary by the contract
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
