Senior Facilities Operations Technician This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust The Senior Facilities Operations Technician will have a strong background in preventative maintenance, mechanical inspection, and building systems management. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Facilities Operations Technician: $31 hourly, Health and Welfare Benefit applies Pay commensurate with experience. Full time SCA benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Senior Facilities Operations Technician Responsibilities Include:
- Perform preventative maintenance on the building's operating equipment.
- Conduct mechanical inspection tours of building's operating equipment, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; make spot repairs as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and free of debris in assigned areas.
- Monitor, prioritize, and respond to facility service requests using applicable systems and procedures.
- Reconfigure modular furniture, maintain inventory of spare furniture parts, and develop detailed lists of needed parts.
- Deliver, move, realign property and supplies, and support special events setup.
- Maintain control of tools and supplies, inventory necessary supplies, and track preventive maintenance requirements.
- Perform annual inventory as second-party authenticator; assist facility/property manager with new program initiatives.
- Serve as Safety Coordinator for the contract team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Safety Plan.
- Assist Program Manager in scheduling backup coverage for regional facilities.
- Support Facilities Operations Technicians in troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including donning appropriate safety gear and clothing.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Senior Facilities Operations Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Education & Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience as a handyman. Relevant roles may include Maintenance Technician, Facilities Manager, Building Engineer, HVAC Technician, or Electrical Technician.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of building systems, preventative maintenance, and mechanical inspections.
Additional Skills:
- Basic math skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise.
- Ability to maintain and manage tool and supply inventory.
Other Requirements:
- The ability to obtain a Public Trust is required.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications, including those of Cherokee Federal.
- Travel - Day trips, utilizing the govt vehicle, may travel overnight a couple of times a year.
- Schedule - M-F, Full Time/Hourly/SCA
- Expected to be in the office - 100% on-site
