General Purpose and Scope of Position:

This key role will oversee manufacturing operations with a focus on environmental, health, and safety (EHS), productivity, quality, and timely supply of products to Wilbur-Ellis Company branches and third-party customers. The Plant Operations Lead will oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and support the development and improvement of new and existing products.***This is a night shift position working Monday - Friday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am***

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Possession of a valid commercial Class A Driver's License with a good driving record

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient with or willing to learn our software systems

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner

  • Ability to work and contribute to a team approach with a positive attitude and outlook

  • Possess the leadership skills to lead teammates effectively

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Champion and lead our GPS safety program at the facility

  • Oversee the efficient operation of the facility's workflow

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, blend sheets, and shipping documents

  • Manage equipment maintenance and documents appropriately

  • Make product deliveries and execute efficient logistics of product staging and drop-off

  • Set up and calibrate field application equipment, field storage tanks, pumps, and meters

  • Meet and complete all WECO regulatory safety and training requirements

  • Organize, set up, and maintain safety training and records

  • Handle customer service for walk-in and phone orders

  • Assists with electronic order entry and processing (sales order, shipping documents, invoicing) utilizing JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software

  • Utilizing JDE, enter and process customers' orders as requested. Meet or exceed timelines established under Timely Transaction Processing Policy (TTP)

  • Work closely with Plant Manager to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to meet customer needs and assist in procuring products as necessary

  • All other duties as assigned to support the Location Manager and or branch functions.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $25.48 - $31.88/hr. Wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for many benefits, such as vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
