Immersive Design Systems at Boston Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Manager of Simulated Participants in Simulation. This role is responsible for leading the training and management of our simulated participant program, which is a critical component of our immersive healthcare simulation initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in evidence-based practices for simulated patient training and program management.

The Simulated Participants Manager will be responsible to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for simulated participants based on the latest evidence-based practices and industry standards.
  • Oversee the recruitment, scheduling, and performance management of a diverse team of simulated participants.
  • Collaborate with simulation educators, clinicians, and other stakeholders to design and execute realistic simulation scenarios that meet learning objectives.
  • Ensure simulated participants are well-prepared to portray their roles authentically and provide meaningful feedback to learners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the simulated patient program, making data-driven improvements as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in healthcare simulation and simulated patient methodology.
  • Contribute to the development of simulation-based research and publications

To qualify you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing a simulated patient program or similar simulation-based initiative
