Who we are looking for:
The Mortgage Originations Compliance Program Manager develops, collaborates, and administers aspects of the compliance risk management program for Cornerstone Home Lending ("CHL"), a division of Cornerstone Capital Bank ("the Bank"), and its affiliates. This position works with subject matter experts, including other Enterprise Risk Management partners, to help ensure CHL and its affiliates are operating in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

What you'll do:



  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and other compliance program elements for Cornerstone Home Lending and its affiliates.
  • Assist in tracking changes and updates to laws, rules, regulations (LRRs), and regulatory agency policy statements and guidance to identify when new or revised, disclosures, policies, or procedures are needed.
  • Periodically review current disclosures, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with enterprise risk partners and the line of business to ensure compliance changes are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Oversee compliance with applicable federal regulations and state laws.
  • Ensure completion of risk governance and compliance program activities, as assigned; maintain adequate records and ensure appropriate retention of work
  • Work with management to develop and adhere to an internal mortgage origination state and federal regulatory disclosure review schedule.
  • Work with management to develop and adhere to an internal compliance/validation testing review schedule.
  • Manage and ensure that the compliance/validation testing reviews are conducted and completed according to the approved schedule.
  • Assist the Director of Mortgage Originations Compliance with regulatory exams, agency reviews, consumer complaints, and other responsibilities, as needed
  • Work on other assigned compliance-related projects, as needed.


What you'll need to be successful:

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in mortgage compliance;
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape, including trends with enforcement actions taken;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Strong communication skills necessary to communicate with Senior Management;
  • Strong research and computer skills;
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills;
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws applicable to mortgage;
  • Strong analytical reasoning, and problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to pay significant attention to details.
