Purpose:

The Field Service Engineer, Probe Card will be responsible for providing technical support and service to probe card customers remotely. The successful candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work under a microscope to manipulate microscopic wires using tweezers. They will have basic electronic diagnostic skills to help trouble shoot and repair electronic circuits. Good communication skills are necessary and must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. The Field Service Engineer, Probe Card will be a self-starter who can work without daily supervision and is flexible and organized. They will have a desire to satisfy customers and provide excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide technical support and service to customers remotely.
  • Work under a microscope to manipulate microscopic wires using tweezers.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Word to document work and communicate with customers.
  • Work independently without daily supervision.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic electronic issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Skills:



  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work under microscope.
  • Ability to manipulate microscopic wires using tweezers.
  • Basic electronic diagnostic skills.
  • Basic component soldering skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work under microscope.
  • Ability to manipulate microscopic wires using tweezers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work without daily supervision, self-starter
  • Desire to satisfy customer
  • Flexible and organized
  • Basic electronic diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.


This position is US - Remote Eligible (Pacific Time Zone preferred). The role may include occasional work at an FFI office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. FFI can employ in states where we have registered entities. The pay range for this role is between $60,600 and $79,580 and is dependent on the work location of the candidate selected. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
