Position Summary The Senior Manager, Data Analytics is responsible for the strategic and tactical execution of Living Spaces' Data Analytics development and support activities to ensure current and future business objectives are consistently met. The Manager, Data Analytics ensures development and architecture staff has the skills, capabilities and development plans to deliver business solutions using industry best practices. Will be responsible to assist in the development and support of Living Spaces' technology strategy. Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist the Director, BI, Integrations, & Infrastructure in the development and execution of the IT Strategy ensuring successful delivery of development & system projects
  • Assist the Director, BI, Integrations, & Infrastructure to develop a business culture that supports and embraces business innovation through deployment of the right technologies
  • Accountable for the successful creation, management, and implementation of all BI, CSM and Distribution Systems Acts as a champion for team's delivery objectives through coaching and monitoring of development and technology usage escalating issues as appropriate
  • Assists in establishing a complete information technology strategy to support the business needs including annual and long range capital and expense forecasts related expenditures
  • Through team collaboration, develop and implement security, data integrity, and applications development methodologies, standards, and governance
  • Assist the Director, BI, Integrations, & Infrastructure in preparing and managing annual budgets for current and future periods
  • Build, coach and mentor the Data Analytics team through the development, deployment, and support of business applications enforcing methodology, standards, and governance
  • Responsible for the growth of Data Analytics staff capabilities ensuring the department's resources have the skills and attitude to deliver and support required business technologies
  • Ensures application development is tracked to meet project milestone dates helping to eliminate issues that impact delivery of a quality product
  • Performs role of Application Developer on assigned projects
  • Promote and monitor quality of service among staff through training and by acting as a positive role model
  • Escalates issues for appropriate/timely resolution as required
  • Verify that all work performed is managed within the IT department's problem management, change management, and/or project management framework
  • Works with Project Management and Business Analyst teams employing workforce management processes to identify application development resource capacity across skills and capabilities, forecasting resource availability and shortage against demand. Applies corrective resource alignment to ensure projects are appropriately staffed to achieve objectives
  • Manages third party development team activities and deliverables for acquired software solutions employed by Living Spaces
  • Engage and Manage contract development resources when appropriate
  • Able to implement continuous improvement and total quality management methods
  • Recommends expenditures and implementation plan for tools aiding systems development
  • Ability to design, integrate and implement application systems to support corporate technology vision
Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in computer science or related field. 7+ years of experience in managing system development processes and staff. 7+ years of experience in developing and creating large data analytic processes & systems. Retail industry experience is desirable. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL, SAS, Microsoft technology. Experience with cloud technologies: Azure, GCP, AWS, etc. Strong background working with Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, etc. Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources. Experience in the implementation of correct methodologies, standards, and governance for security, data integrity, and applications development in a predominately Microsoft products environment.

Certificates and Licenses: Certifications in business, technical or project management disciplines

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will manage a team of 4-8 team members in Programming and Technical Architecture Design. Develop and execute the company's business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders. Provide strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the market and the company's future. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities. Able to delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Pay is determined by various factors including market demand, applicable skills, work experience and education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.

Compensation: $131,250.00 - $175,000.00

Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
