Work Location and Schedule:
- This position will be based at our Covina, California location.
- The work schedule is a 9/80 schedule, with 9 hours per day on Monday-Thursday and 8 hours per day on working Fridays, with every other Friday off.
- This is a field-based role and will also require local travel to other locations within our service areas in Southern California.
What You'll Do
As an Operations & Maintenance Technician, you will support production and maintenance objectives. This rolefocuses on operations, maintenance, and problem-solving using electro-mechanical skills. Under the guidance of the Manager and Team Leads, you will independently perform field tasks and may oversee lower-level technicians. This position will be willing and able to perform the following duties and others as assigned:
- Process work using our computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Preventative and predictive maintenance of our ground water wells and booster pumps assemblies.
- Performs operational duties of reservoirs, pump stations and ground water wells.
- Problem-solving of our PLC, SCADA and motor control systems including variable frequency drives.
- Operate and maintain water chemical treatment feed systems.
- Corrective maintenance of pumps and motors.
- Production meter testing and calibrations.
- Production data collection and reporting.
- Buildings and grounds routine maintenance and inspections.
- Maintenance and inspections of our system's pressure regulating valves.
- Support engineering capital projects and coordination with contractors.

What You'll Bring
Education and Experience
High school degree or GED.
Minimum of 5 years working in industrial, manufacturing, or utility environment and maintaining electrical/mechanical equipment to produce a physical product (liquid products preferred) reliably and efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity withPLC, SCADA and motor control systems.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills in person, phone, and email.
- Skilled in record-keeping and report preparation using PC or tablet.
- Able to exercise independent judgment within guidelines.
- Effective at building collaborative relationships.
- Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use.
Work Environment and Conditions
- Work is performed in and around wastewater and water facilities, both inside and outside.
- Worker is subject to adverse weather and environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, humidity and precipitation; noise and vibration from heavy equipment; exposure to physical hazards from equipment with moving parts, high voltage electrical equipment, hazardous chemicals, and bacteria in wastewater.
