Application Window Open date: December 11, 2024 Next review date: Friday, Jan 10, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jun 30, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Psychological Science at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a non-tenure track, 100% appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar. The initial one-year position can start as early as February 1, 2025 and may be renewed annually. Candidates are sought to work on a multi-wave, ongoing NSF-funded study that began in March 2020 to address cascading collective traumas (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters, wars) and their aftermath in a nationally representative U.S. sample. A Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field is required. Prior work in disaster- or trauma-related mental/physical health and previous experience managing large, multi-wave longitudinal datasets are recommended. Expertise in multi-level and structural equation modeling, analyzing weighted data from complex longitudinal surveys of probability-based samples, experience with STATA and R, and excellent writing skills are preferred. The postdoctoral scholar will have the opportunity to publish articles, design surveys, prepare grant applications, and mentor students on our vibrant interdisciplinary team.
