The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a Business Development Manager to join the Singlewire team. As part of our team, you will be a highly visible team member responsible for managing the activities of our Business Development Representatives. This position is based out of our home office in Madison, WI and is an awesome opportunity to join a growing leader in the Mass Notification software space!

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, competitive, and fast-paced team player to join our Sales team as a Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team responsible for cold calling, prospecting, and qualifying leads which are passed along to sales.

Your team will be responsible for:


  • Contacting leads: Initiate contact with potential customers through cold calls, emails, networking, social media, and business events
  • Setting up meetings: Connect potential customers with solutions and set up meetings with the sales team
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing: Work with colleagues in sales and marketing to present a personalized experience to potential customers
  • Keeping records: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, update and manage leads in company systems. Maintaining market knowledge: Stay up to date with market knowledge



Responsibilities/Experience

  • Provide management, communication, training and coaching to the business development team
  • Monitor employee productivity, performance and goal achievement
  • Build strategies to

    • Generate new business opportunities to fuel the Singlewire pipeline
    • Target high buying intent accounts within a geographically territory
    • Achieve, or exceed, monthly quotas of qualified opportunities


  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and balance time effectively
  • Problem-solving mentality to help create effective, and efficient, processes
  • 1 to 2 years of Sales Management or 2 years as a BDR
  • Proven success in leading teams to meet monthly targets
  • Experience using Salesforce
