Overview
Responsibilities
- Innovative Design Solutions: Lead the architectural design and planning for projects within the higher education, K-12, healthcare, governmental, and general commercial markets.
- Code Compliance: Conduct comprehensive code analysis and ensure strict adherence to industry standards and regulations. Oversee code conformance, ensuring that all designs meet or exceed established guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee and participate in peer reviews to maintain high-quality architectural standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and clients, to develop innovative and practical architectural solutions.
- Client Engagement: Prepare and present project proposals, design concepts, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and team members.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay up-to-date with changes in building codes, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure project compliance.
- Field Work: Perform field verifications/site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. May troubleshoot design problems in the field during construction.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: $90,000 - $120,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and certifications.

Qualifications
Who We Need:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
- Professional Experience: A Registered Architect (RA) license in good standing with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Leadership Skills: The ability to lead a project team and manage the workload of multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in code analysis and understanding of building codes and regulations (such as egress, fire-resistant assemblies, occupancy, and building types).
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Field Experience: Experience performing field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. Ability to troubleshoot design problems in the field.
