Responsibilities:

- Drives and updates BOMs and CAD drawings as required through change requests.

- Designs and releases components and BOMs for products and ETO equipment as required.

- Supports the production of engineered to order equipment driving ERP job maintenance.

- Drives engineering change orders and supports development projects through the entire product release process.

- Emphasizes documentation and maintenance on manufacturing and engineering standards and best practices through the change management process.

- Executes peer reviews on ETO equipment and ECO design updates as required.

- Uses a strong engineering foundation to develop subject matter expertise.

- Leverages subject matter expertise to support engineering and production personnel as well as customers as needed.

- Provides mentorship to interns and entry level engineers as a technical resource.

- Collaborates with operations personnel to improve interdepartmental handoffs.

- Demonstrates initiative and innovation within cross-functional teams focused on meeting continuous improvement objectives.

- Utilizes critical thinking to aid in solid decision making and creative thinking to find solutions to unique problems.

- Clearly and concisely communicates in verbal and written form to inform the organization on activity status and with demonstrated ability to perform effective change management is required.

- Cooperates with the IT and Application Engineering teams on equipment configuration tools to ensure that they are functional and accurate.

- As a member of the engineering team, act as a team member in improvement initiatives with products, processes, or business systems.

Specialized Functions and Responsibilities:

- Manages and maintains the Engineering Change Management System [ECMS].

- Is accountable for the expectations of the ECMS.

- Creates new processes as needed to drive continuous improvement opportunities.

- Drives continuous improvement between engineering and manufacturing, working with manufacturing engineers, to sustain products throughout their lifecycle.


Qualifications

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field.

- Three (3) or more years of prior work experience in a technical field with previous experience in product development or sustaining preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills along with the ability to find solutions without compromising customer or company objectives is required.

- Ability to travel to customer sites and trade shows, or approximately 5%-10% travel.

- Ability read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings is required.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite application is required.

- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD for design activities is desirable (SolidWorks, DraftSight/AutoCAD preferred).

- Prior experience in CRM and ERP systems required (Epicor experience preferred).
