Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Sales Representative

Location: Torrance, CA

Work hour: 9:00 am- 5:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire

Overview

This position, reporting directly to the Sales Manager, is responsible for managing day-to-day client relations with a primary focus on inquiries from existing clients, as well as supporting new client inquiries. The role involves promoting company products, providing product advice during customer visits, generating quotes, and ensuring excellent client relationship management. The ideal candidate will be business-level bilingual in Japanese and English, with prior sales-related experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Visit customer sites to promote products to both existing and potential customers.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors.

Conduct market research on products and pricing, analyze order history, and develop strategic approaches to engage customers and distributors.

Address customer claims and work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve issues.

Prepare and submit sales reports, and participate in sales meetings, conferences, and trade shows.

Provide product demonstrations and educate customers on the use of machines at the showroom or customer locations.

Negotiate prices and terms, and prepare sales agreements and shipping documents.

Develop key customer accounts through proactive outreach via phone calls and emails.

Collaborate with technical teams to meet client needs effectively.

Qualifications

Language Skills: Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (bilingual).

Experience: B2B sales experience is strongly preferred.

Travel Requirement: Ability to travel 10% - 20% of the time.

Industry Knowledge: Experience in the food industry is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
